How HarbourHub collects, uses, protects, and manages information.

Draft Privacy Notice

This document is currently under legal review and may be updated before HarbourHub enters commercial production. It does not constitute legal advice or a statement of regulatory compliance.

Our commitment

HarbourHub is a yacht-club operating platform built and operated by NorthAnchor. We are currently offered as an invitation-only Private Preview to a small number of approved organizations. We take a minimum-necessary approach to personal information: we collect only what we need to evaluate access requests, operate authorized club workspaces, and keep the platform safe.

Information we collect

  • Name, role, and organization.
  • Business email and optional contact details.
  • Yacht club information you provide (club name, location, website, size).
  • Access-request details describing what you would like to evaluate.
  • Technical information required to operate the platform (authentication events, session identifiers, basic device information, and application logs).

We do not intentionally collect unnecessary personal information, and we do not sell information about you.

Why we collect it

HarbourHub uses information to:

  • Review invitation and access requests.
  • Authenticate users and maintain sessions.
  • Operate authorized club workspaces.
  • Improve the platform's usability, reliability, and safety.
  • Communicate with approved organizations about their use of HarbourHub.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent misuse.

Invitation requests

Information submitted through the Request Access form is collected solely for the purpose of evaluating participation in the HarbourHub Private Preview. We use it to contact you about your request and, if approved, to issue access instructions.

Club information

When a yacht club is onboarded to HarbourHub, the club's designated administrators are responsible for the club data they configure and upload. HarbourHub processes that data on behalf of the club to operate its workspace. Clubs remain the stewards of their own records.

Member information

Member records inside a club workspace (such as names, contact details, and boat information) are entered and managed by that club's administrators. HarbourHub uses this information only to provide the workspace to the club that owns it, and does not use member information for advertising or unrelated purposes.

Uploaded documents

Documents uploaded to a club workspace (for example insurance certificates or member forms) are stored to support the club's operations. Access is restricted to authorized users of that club based on role, and the club administrator controls what is uploaded and retained.

Cookies

HarbourHub uses a small number of first-party cookies and browser storage entries that are necessary to sign you in, remember your session, and keep the application functioning. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.

Third-party services

HarbourHub relies on a small number of service providers for hosting, authentication, database, storage, and email delivery. These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms. We continue to review this list as HarbourHub evolves and will publish a subprocessor list before general availability.

Data retention

Access-request records are retained while your request is being considered and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. Club workspace data is retained for as long as the club maintains an active HarbourHub relationship. You may request deletion of personal information you submitted by contacting us at hello@harbourhub.boats.

Access requests

You may request a copy of the personal information HarbourHub holds about you. See the data request page for the details we ask for so we can verify your request.

Corrections

If information HarbourHub holds about you is inaccurate or out of date, please contact us so we can correct it. Where information is managed inside a club workspace, we will work with the club administrator to make the correction.

Security

HarbourHub applies security controls appropriate to a Private Preview, including invitation-only access, role-based permissions, authenticated sessions, secure hosting, and ongoing security review. No online service can be described as completely secure, and HarbourHub does not claim to be. We continuously work to improve our security practices. More detail is available on the security overview.

Private Preview

HarbourHub is currently operating in a controlled Private Preview. Access is limited to organizations that have been approved through the invitation process. Demonstration environments (such as the HarbourHub Showcase) use fictional data and are not connected to any real yacht club's records.

Privacy questions, corrections, and deletion requests should be directed to hello@harbourhub.boats.
